The Minister of Finance sponsors the customs celebration of the International Day and affirms support for economic modernization

Khaberni - The Minister of Finance, Dr. Abdul Hakeem Al-Shibli, sponsored today the celebration of the Jordanian Customs on the International Customs Day, which this year came under the theme (Customs protect the community through vigilance and compliance), attended by the Director General of the Jordanian Customs and a number of former customs directors, representatives from the military forces, security agencies, and government regulatory bodies, and a large number of senior Jordanian customs officers.

Al-Shibli affirmed in a speech during the celebration that the government's financial policy aims to enhance the resilience of the national economy, improve the investment environment, and facilitate trade exchange processes in line with the economic modernization vision, praising the efforts made by the Jordanian Customs in achieving economic objectives.

The Director General of the Jordanian Customs, General Ahmed Al-Akalik, said that this year's customs slogan is a robust work approach, dedicating all human and technical capabilities to enhance the efficiency of customs work and to foster partnership with various sectors, contributing to achieving this slogan with the highest quality standards, speed, and efficiency, through the expansion in providing services to improve the customs work system in line with the economic modernization vision, expressing his pride in the integrative role performed by the customs within the economic modernization and community security system, reflecting positively on the national economy.

The Minister of Finance, the patron of the event, handed out certificates granted by the World Customs Organization to deserving partners from the private sector and the Jordanian Customs Department, and honored the families of martyrs.
