Nissan Reduces Its Annual Losses

Khaberni - Nissan Motor of Japan expects to reduce its operational losses during the current fiscal year as its restructuring plan progresses, despite announcing a decrease in third-quarter profits.
The Japanese carmaker now anticipates an operational loss of 60 billion yen ($392.29 million) for the year ending in March, compared to its previous forecast of a 275 billion yen deficit.

The results highlight Nissan's efforts to stabilize profits as it moves forward with a comprehensive restructuring plan that includes reducing its number of global factories from 17 to 10 and cutting its workforce by 15%.

The company announced a 44% decrease in operational profits to 17.5 billion yen for the quarter from October to December 2025, under significant pressure due to U.S. tariffs.

The quarterly results, compared with the average expectations that indicated a loss of 81 billion yen according to a survey involving six analysts, contrast with profits of 31.1 billion yen during the same period last year.
