Elham Shahein responded to the criticisms that reached her recently after her repeated statements about donating her organs after death, indicating that she made this decision after confirming that religion does not prohibit organ donation.
Elham Shahein said in press statements: "All civilized countries do this, ultimately worms will consume the body and it will perish, and I asked scholars who told me that it is a perpetual charity after death and not forbidden, and everyone is free to choose."
She continued: "The law must be applied correctly, my family should know who to go to after my death, and who has the priority? Someone who needs a retina to see again or who?"

Elham Shahein had revealed her opinion on presenting her personal biography in a work of art, confirming that if a series that covers her biography were to be made, she would prefer that her niece, the young artist Elham Safi El-Din, portray her character, and that the work should be titled "The Bold" or "The Rebel," and she hopes that Sherine Abdel Wahab would perform the opening song.
Elham said in statements on the sidelines of her presence at an artistic event: "If I present a biography, let Elham Safi El-Din present it, and it would be titled The Bold or The Rebel, and I hope Sherine Abdel Wahab sings the theme song."
