Gulf Arab and Islamic countries warn of the continuation of Israels expansionist policies in the West Bank

Khaberni  - The foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the UAE, Qatar, Indonesia, Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey strongly condemned the illegal Israeli decisions and actions aimed at imposing illegitimate sovereignty, entrenching settlements, creating a new legal and administrative reality in the occupied West Bank, thus accelerating attempts to annex it illegally and pushing towards the displacement of the Palestinian people. The ministers reaffirmed that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories.

The ministers warned of the continuation of the expansionist policies and Israeli actions that violate international law in the occupied West Bank, which fuel violence and exacerbate conflict in the region. They emphasized their outright rejection of these measures, which constitute a blatant violation of international law and undermine the two-state solution, and an assault on the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent and sovereign state within the borders of June 4, 1967, and its capital, occupied Jerusalem, in addition to undermining regional and international efforts aimed at achieving peace and stability.

The ministers confirmed that the Israeli actions in the occupied West Bank are null and void, and constitute a clear breach of United Nations Security Council resolutions, including Resolution 2334 which condemns all Israeli steps aimed at altering the demographic composition and the status of the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967 including East Jerusalem.

They also referred to the advisory opinion issued by the International Court of Justice in 2024, which concluded that the policies and practices of Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories are illegal and that the occupation and annexation of lands are null and void.

The ministers renewed their call to the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities, and to compel Israel to stop its dangerous escalation in the occupied West Bank, and to counter the incitement statements and movements issued by its officials.

They stressed that fulfilling the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination and establishing their independent state based on the two-state solution and in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, represents the only way to achieve a just and comprehensive peace that ensures security and stability in the region.
