Khaberni - Syrian artist Assala Nasri, revealed new details about her anticipated Syrian album, along with her talk about the theme song of the series "The Caesar - No Time and No Place", scheduled to debut in the Ramadan drama season of 2026.
Assala, in a press conference on the sidelines of the concert she held at Khorfakkan Amphitheatre in Sharjah Emirate, expressed her happiness to return to the Khorfakkan stage, stating that her last appearance there was years ago, and emphasized her pride in wearing traditional Emirati attire during the concert, out of appreciation for the place and audience, and her participation in one of the most prominent open-air theatres in the region.
A unique, first-of-its-kind project
Regarding the Syrian album, Assala explained that it is in its final stages, noting that it is an exceptional work in every detail, and this might be the first and last in her career in the Syrian dialect, although she might repeat the experience later, as she described.
She added that she pays attention to the finest artistic details, considering it a special project with considerable emotional value.
The Syrian artist confirmed that the album includes 14 Syrian songs, a precedent that is the first of its kind in her career, explaining that she gives each song independent attention, both musically and visually, even in the selection of costumes for each work, as part of her efforts to present a comprehensive artistic experience.
Between Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha
Regarding the release date of the album, Assala speculated that it would see the light of day "between the two Eids", pointing out that the idea of the work is based on presenting folk songs from various Syrian provinces, while maintaining their original spirit, and developing them musically to harmonize with the tastes of the new generation, in an attempt to bring together the Syrian diversity in a single album.
Moreover, Assala announced that after completing the Syrian album, she will begin preparing for a new Gulf music album, as part of her upcoming artistic plans.
The only work in Ramadan
In another context, Assala talked about the theme song of the series "The Caesar - No Time and No Place", stating that it will be her only musical work in this year’s drama, and described it as different in both form and content, carrying a high emotional charge, reflecting the nature of the dramatic, sad, and impactful work.
On another note, Assala Nasri captured attention and lit up social media platforms after performing a grand concert on Saturday evening at Khorfakkan Amphitheatre, amid a dense crowd from all around the Emirates, in an artistic evening where music blended with the magic of nature.
The concert, which was held as part of the "Hala Khorfakkan" season, witnessed significant audience interaction, where Assala presented a selection of her new songs along with some of her most famous works, including "Bint Akaber" and "Ya Maghrour", in an evening whose echoes extended throughout the event.
