Khaberni - The emergency department at the new Princess Basma Hospital will begin receiving patients on Sunday, after the old emergency department ceased operations, according to the hospital director Ibrahim Shahabat.
Shahabat previously stated that, based on the approved operational plan, work will completely cease in the old emergency department starting at eight o'clock in the morning on Sunday, confirming that the medical and nursing staff will be ready in the new building to receive all emergency cases from the first moment of closure.
He explained that this measure is in line with the royal vision to develop the health system, noting that the new emergency department is equipped with the latest global medical technologies and specialized laboratories, and an increased number of beds and emergency staff to ensure immediate care for patients and reduce the waiting time that the old department suffered from.
He called on citizens to adhere to the specified appointment time and head directly to the new emergency building in case of any emergency, urging everyone to cooperate with the organization and security teams in the hospital to ensure the smooth flow of ambulance and patient traffic during the first hours of the transition, in the best interest of the patients above all.
It is noteworthy that His Majesty King Abdullah II inaugurated Princess Basma Hospital, which is the second largest government hospital in the kingdom, with a capacity of over 500 beds.
