Khaberni - A tragic quarrel ended with the death of a 23-year-old Syrian man in Turkey after he jumped from the fifth floor of his house in Antakya following a verbal altercation with his wife.
Turkish media reported that the incident began with a verbal altercation between the spouses inside the home, which tragically escalated, leading the young man to end his life by jumping from the balcony, leaving behind five children.
Passersby were shocked by his fall from the upper floor, prompting emergency teams to respond quickly. However, they were unable to save him, and his death was declared soon after he arrived.
Video footage showed the young man’s body covered with a blanket while police teams investigated the circumstances of the incident.
This incident occurs amidst the presence of over two million Syrians in Turkey, most of whom have settled in the southern cities near the Syrian border since the start of the crisis in 2011.
