Mimi Jamal upset for being ignored in the Immunity series poster

Khaberni - Artist Mimi Jamal expressed her displeasure at her picture being ignored on the official poster of the series «Immunity», scheduled to be shown in the Ramadan season of 2026, despite her participation in a pivotal and influential role within the dramatic context.

Mimi Jamal stated in press remarks that her feeling of sadness was due to her absence from the promotional poster, emphasizing that communication from many of her colleagues and the audience had alleviated her distress and gave her a sense of appreciation and support.

She clarified that she had not yet received any clarification from the production company about why she wasn't featured on the poster, noting that she is waiting for the poster to be amended in the coming period, especially since she has expressed her dissatisfaction with the matter to actress Hend Sabry.

Mimi Jamal denied rumors about her picture being removed from the poster after it was added, confirming that her picture was not there from the start, and she does not know the reason for this decision, especially as there are no conflicts between her and the production company or the creators of the work.

She concluded her statements by asserting that her appearance on the promotional poster is her natural right, while at the same time emphasizing that her relationship with the production company is characterized by mutual respect and appreciation.

The series «Immunity» is displayed in the context of a popular social setting, revolving around events during the 1980s, about a twenty-something girl who grows up in the world of drug trafficking, and transforms after the death of her husband from a pursued widow into a strong figure who asserts her influence, eventually becoming one of the most prominent hashish dealers.

Starring in the series, alongside Hend Sabry and Mimi Jamal, are Khaled Selim, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Mohamed Anwar, Karim Kassem, Maha Nassar, Huda Al-Etribi, and Ahmed Al-Shami, with the work written by Amro Al-Daly and directed by Hussein El Menbawy.
