Blogger Umm Jasser sends a message to Ashraf Zaki after the suspension of the series Rooh OFF

Khaberni - Blogger Umm Jasser commented on the decision of the head of the Egyptian Syndicate of Dramatic Professions, Ashraf Zaki, to ban her from appearing in artistic works, and on the decision to suspend the series "Rooh OFF", starring Jordanian actor Monzer Rahmouna, after rumors circulated about her participation, which she completely denied.

Umm Jasser explained in a video clip she posted on her TikTok account that she was surprised by the barring decision, saying: "I go to shoot, then I return to find the syndicate and newspapers have barred me from appearing in Ramadan series, knowing that I did not participate this year, and I am waiting for next year. I am committed to my plan, so why do you bar me when I am not even present? Let everyone wait until I participate, and then judge my suitability to appear afterward."

Umm Jasser also sent a direct message to Ashraf Zaki regarding the suspension of the series "Rooh OFF", affirming that her participation in any artistic work was not officially announced. She added "No images of any series for me were published, these are just opinions... And we take your opinion, if you say amen, it will be amen, and if you say no, it will be no, and God willing, I will act next year."

Reason for Suspension
The Syndicate of Dramatic Professions announced the final suspension of the series "Rooh OFF" and its banning from showing during Ramadan 2026, due to explicit and repeated violations of syndicate rules and regulations.

The syndicate confirmed in an official statement that the decision came after issuing several warnings and notices to the producer, Bilal Sabri, to adhere to the laws regulating artistic work, yet these warnings were ignored, necessitating decisive action to maintain the profession's prestige and the rights of its members.

The statement noted that the latest violations included the appearance of the producer in a widely publicized video on social media, where he was seen contracting with blogger Umm Jasser for an artistic work, in clear violation of the syndicate's rules prohibiting the use of non-registered individuals without necessary legal permits.

The syndicate emphasized that it will not tolerate any attempt to circumvent the laws or breach the established regulations, affirming that protecting the profession and safeguarding the rights of its members are of utmost priority, and that any artistic work not adhering to the rules will face stern measures, reiterating that the decision to suspend the series "Rooh OFF" is final and irreversible.
