AlMuayta Sponsors the Graduation Ceremony of Diploma Students in Correction and Rehabilitation Centers

The Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. Obeidallah Al-Muayta, sponsored today, Thursday, the graduation ceremony of the seventh, eighth, and ninth batches of students in the Diploma Program of Correction and Rehabilitation Centers, in the presence of the President of Al-Balqa Applied University, Professor Dr. Ahmad Al-Ajlouni, and the Director of Operations and Regional Affairs at the International Committee of the Red Cross mission in Amman, Peter van Aken.

Major General Al-Muayta congratulated the graduates on earning this specialized academic degree, noting that the diploma program is an advanced step in qualifying the staff working at correction and rehabilitation centers, enhancing their professional and humanitarian capabilities in dealing with inmates, in addition to preparing them to implement comprehensive reform programs based on modern scientific foundations that contribute to behavior correction and individual rebuilding.

He emphasized the General Directorate of Public Security's commitment to developing the correction and rehabilitation environment in various centers, by enhancing the scientific, security, and legal level of the staff, in line with the best international standards and practices in the field of law supremacy and human rights respect.

This program is the result of an outstanding partnership between the General Directorate of Public Security and Al-Balqa Applied University, where the university's president, Professor Dr. Ahmad Al-Ajlouni, confirmed that the university managed the academic supervision of the diploma content and the design of training programs, and provided specialized academic staff to qualify the staff in correction and rehabilitation centers based on modern scientific foundations, ensuring the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical skills, and contributing to enhancing the graduates' efficiency and enabling them to deal professionally and humanely with the inmates and prepare them for positive integration into society after completing their sentences.

The diploma in correction and rehabilitation, which was implemented at the Training and Development Institute affiliated with the Administration of Correction and Rehabilitation Centers in cooperation with the university, is a fundamental pillar for developing the correctional system, aiming at preparing academically and professionally qualified staff for the humane and legal interaction with inmates, and enabling them to perform their tasks efficiently, contributing to the rehabilitation of inmates and preparing them for positive integration into society after the end of their sentences.

At the end of the ceremony, which was attended by several senior officers of the Public Security and members of the teaching and administrative staffs at Al-Balqa Applied University, Major General Al-Muayta distributed certificates to the graduates, wishing them success in serving the nation and enhancing the message of reform and rehabilitation.
