Khaberni - Petra University commemorates the eternal memory of the Battle of Al-Karamah, which formed a brilliant milestone in Jordan's history, where the Jordanian Arab Army embodied the highest meanings of sacrifice and redemption in defense of the homeland and the dignity of its people.
President of the University, Professor Dr. Rami Abdel Rahim said: The Battle of Al-Karamah has left a profound impact on the consciousness of Jordanians, for its enduring victory and great national memory, in which the soldiers of the Arab Army wrote the most magnificent epics of heroism that will remain firmly embedded in the memory of the nation. He confirmed that this battle proved that victory is not only measured by the number of soldiers or the size of capabilities, but is linked to a solid will and firm determination in defending the homeland, and loyalty to its wise leadership.
Abdel Rahim added: The university proudly and honorably remembers the martyrs of the Battle of Al-Karamah, and prays for their pure souls that were offered in defense of the homeland. He pointed out that this occasion also recalls the steadfast Jordanian stance towards the Palestinian issue, the continuous support for the rights of the Palestinian people, and the rejection of displacement and resettlement, alongside the political, diplomatic, health, and relief efforts exerted by Jordan to secure the Palestinian people in their land and thwart displacement plans, under direct directives from His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein, may God protect him.
