AlZaytoonah University of Jordan Announces Results of the Fourth Hajj Ali AlQarm Quranic Competition

Khaberni  - The Dean of Student Affairs / Cultural and Social Activities Department at Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan announced the results of the fourth Hajj Ali Al-Qarm Quranic competition, which was held during the holy month of Ramadan, and this year included memorizing "Surat An-Nisa" and mastering the rules of Tajwid and recitation. The results were announced in the presence of the University President, Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Majali, Vice President, Professor Dr. Tareq Al-Qarm, along with deans, faculty, administrative staff, and students.

The competition witnessed wide participation from the university students, with (180) contestants from various faculties, in a distinctive competitive atmosphere reflecting the students' keenness to excel in memorizing the Holy Quran and mastering its recitation according to the rules of Tajwid, showing a level of religious awareness and interest in meaningful activities within the campus.

The results culminated in the victory of student Ahmad Mahmoud Hammad from the Faculty of Arts winning first place, while student Aman Mohammad Musleh from the Faculty of Pharmacy took second place, and student Mariam Ahmad Al-Kashif from the College of Sciences and Information Technology came in third. Several other participating students were also honored, including: Zainab Abdul Hafeez Al-Shamali, Abdullah Ahmad Ezzat, Mariam Yasser Shahada, Israa Mohammad Eid, Hammam Nael Al-Manaseer, Hamza Al-Saed Awad, Qutadah Mounis Khroub, Shahd Jamal, Basheer Basel Al-Tabbaa, and Kareem Ayman Mohammed.

  At the end of the event, the university president honored the winners and the judging panel, which included Dr. Ahmad Al-Shahrouri, Dr. Musa Al-Khatib, and Dr. Alaa Al-Din Zaki, in recognition of their roles in the successful execution of the competition events and ensuring the integrity of the evaluation.

Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Majali emphasized Al-Zaytoonah University of Jordan's commitment to supporting extracurricular activities that contribute to nurturing religious and spiritual values among students, noting that Quranic competitions are among the prominent initiatives that enhance student character development and instill a sense of belonging and pride in the Islamic identity.

On his part, the head of the judging committee explained that the competition showcased advanced levels of performance and recitation among the participants, reflecting the substantial efforts students put into memorizing the Quran and mastering its rules. He confirmed that the evaluation process was based on precise criteria that included accuracy of memorization, quality of recitation, and adherence to the rules of Tajwid, ensuring fairness and objectivity in selecting the winners.
