Khaberni - The Directorate of Health and Environmental Affairs in North Mazar Municipality, today Wednesday, closed a station for washing vehicles and changing oils in the area of Arhaba, due to it causing environmental and health nuisances; following the recurrent flow of the resulting water onto the public street.
Mahdi Naseer, head of the municipal committee, stated in an announcement that the closure decision was coordinated with the administrative governorate based on the professional licensing system, after observing repeated environmental violations by the station.
He explained that the station had been discharging washing products, including water and waste oils, directly onto the public street, leading to damage and erosion of the road’s asphalt layer, in addition to turning the location into a health nuisance negatively affecting the surrounding area and its residents.
Naseer affirmed that the municipality will not tolerate any establishment that damages public property or contributes to environmental pollution, emphasizing the need for all shops and commercial establishments to adhere to the conditions of the licenses granted to them, especially the standards for safe disposal of their liquid and solid waste.
