Khaberni - Alvaro Arbeloa, Real Madrid's coach, entered into a disagreement with some of the team's stars due to their dissatisfaction with his technical decisions and substitutions in the last two matches against Benfica and Rayo Vallecano.
The defeat against Benfica forced Real Madrid to participate in the qualifiers for the round of 16 of the Champions League, while they won the last match against Rayo Vallecano narrowly with a 2-1 score in the Spanish league competition.
According to journalist Anton Meana from "Cadena SER" radio, Arbeloa was delayed by an hour to the press conference after the Rayo match due to a discussion with several players.
He added: Arbeloa is very close to the players, so much so that some feel he may be too close, but it was surprising for some key elements in the team that he did not rely on Ceballos against Benfica and instead decided to bring on the young Cistero, and they informed the coach of this.
Furthermore: Discussions continued between some Real Madrid players and the new coach Arbeloa after the last match against Rayo Vallecano, which the white team won 2-1. The discussion was long after the match and tense in the dressing room, with technical and tactical disagreements with some players and the coach.
Meanwhile, journalist Anton Meana from "Cadena SER" revealed that some players said they expected more progress after the dismissal of coach Xabi Alonso and the arrival of Arbeloa, saying that it entails working without complaint, but they feel as though they are training under a Castilla coach "Real Madrid's second team".
Real Madrid decided to assign Arbeloa, the Castilla coach, to coach the first team after dismissing Alonso following the loss against Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup due to poor results and disputes with the team's stars.
