Khaberni - The Eastern Military Area thwarted two attempts to smuggle large quantities of drugs, loaded by electronically guided balloons, at dawn on Wednesday on its front and within its area of responsibility.
According to the statement, the balloons were detected by border guard units and dealt with by shooting them down along with their loads inside Jordanian territory, in coordination with the security forces and the Anti-Narcotics Department, and the seized items were transferred to the competent authorities for necessary actions.
