Students at Amman Arab University Achieve a Distinctive Accomplishment in the RoboCraft Competition

Khaberni  -  Within the framework of Amman Arab University's ongoing journey towards academic leadership and technological innovation, in a new qualitative achievement added to the university's academic excellence record, Amman Arab University students achieved a notable success by participating in the RoboCraft competition, organized by the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) branch at Jadara University with extensive participation from Jordanian universities, culminating in two teams from the IEEE branch among the College of Information Technology students advancing to the competition finals.

 

Where the team (NeoHex) won the first place, composed of: student Noor Abu Alfeilat, and student Ahmad Al-Khasawneh from the Computer Science department/College of Information Technology, while the team (Ruyo) won the second place, composed of: student Youssef Yasin, and student Rua Hussein from the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence department/College of Information Technology. This achievement reflects the university administration's commitment to supporting distinctive student activities, with continued efforts from the College of Information Technology, the Dean of Student Affairs, and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, where Engineer Yaqoub Al-Qaraeen from the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship played an active role in supporting the students and encouraging them to innovate. Additionally, Dr. Thamer Srayerah, head of the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence department at the College of Information Technology, contributed significantly in supporting and motivating the students towards excellence and active participation, along with the clear impact of guidance and follow-up by Dr. Layal Al-Zuban, advisor of the IEEE branch, in enhancing the students' motivation towards participating and excelling in scientific and technical competitions.

 

In this regard, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Widian, president of Amman Arab University, expressed his pride in this qualitative achievement, which embodies the advanced level of competence of the university's students, their ability to work as one team, and to harness scientific knowledge and modern technologies to address contemporary global issues. In recognition of this achievement, the winning students were honored, with Al-Widian reaffirming the university's pride in their achievements and urging them to continue the path of excellence and innovation in various scientific and technological fields.

 

This achievement serves as a source of pride for Amman Arab University, as it reflects the high level of skill, teamwork, and innovation among its students, reaffirming the importance of integration and cooperation among the supporting colleges and centers in enhancing the university's academic and technical presence at the national level.
