Khaberni - The Minister of Health Dr. Ibrahim Al-Bdoor directed the implementation of acute cardiac catheterization procedures in the Ministry of Health hospitals starting from February 1, 2026.
Al-Bdoor clarified that hospitals equipped for cardiac therapeutic interventions, including Al-Bashir, Prince Hamzeh, New Al-Hussein Salt, Zarqa, Karak, Tafila, and Princess Basma hospitals, as well as King Abdullah University Hospital, have been enhanced with technical teams on duty at all times to perform emergency cardiac catheterizations 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The minister outlined that the rest of the Ministry of Health hospitals have been connected to these equipped hospitals through a specific work mechanism that allows for the direct transfer and catheterization of cardiac clot cases …
The minister emphasized the commitment to accepted medical treatment protocols, based on clear principles and guaranteeing the continuity of optimal medical care. The handling of cardiac clot cases in the covered hospitals is carried out by specialized cardiac doctors, whether from ministry personnel or others, in accordance with these adopted protocols.
This protocol is part of a plan developed by the Ministry of Health to enhance the quality of medical service, aiming to create clear visions and establish standardized therapeutic protocols for brain and heart clots, in addition to unifying treatment protocols for all cancer patients across all medical sectors.
The importance of the cardiac clot protocol lies in keeping up with the latest globally accepted therapeutic methods, increasing the chances of saving lives, reducing morbidity and complications, which positively reflects on the health of the citizens and improves the quality and standard of life.
