Khaberni - The Ministry of Interior announced granting facilitations for Lebanese investors and citizens in Jordan; within the context of the close relations between the two brotherly countries.
The facilitations include, according to the ministry, granting a Lebanese citizen or investor, and members of their family, an annual residency directly by submitting a request to the Ministry of Interior, provided that a bank deposit of ten thousand dinars is made in one of the Jordanian banks, and showing a certified annual rental contract worth no less than five thousand dinars.
The facilitations also included granting any Lebanese citizen or investor, and their family members, who have a valid residency in any country, an annual residency in the Kingdom directly by submitting a request to the Ministry of Interior.
It also grants the Lebanese citizen or investor, and their family members, a five-year residency, if they purchase a residential property worth at least 100,000 Jordanian dinars through submitting a request to the Ministry of Interior.
Consequently, the Lebanese siblings who obtained the residency, and their family members, can benefit from a set of privileges including: allowing their children to study in private educational institutions, permitting them to bring their private vehicles, and exchanging a valid Lebanese driving license for a private Jordanian license.
The decision also included facilitating the registration of companies for Lebanese citizens and investors, except for closed activities and jobs, allowing them to register a company for unrestricted purposes only, and to operate within the existing laws and instructions.
Under the decision, it will also be allowed for the Lebanese citizen or investor, and their family members, to participate in the government health insurance and pay the fees for non-Jordanians.
