Khaberni - The House of Representatives approved today, Wednesday, the Notary Public Law project for the year 2025.
The Council completed the draft law today after discussing several articles in Monday's session.
It is noted that the House of Representatives agreed in a session held on November 24th to refer the "amended Notary" to the Legal Parliamentary Committee, which in turn approved it on the 14th of this month.
The Council of Ministers approved the "amended Notary" during a session held on September 8th.
The draft law aims to improve the quality of public services provided to citizens by allowing the notary to handle transactions submitted from outside the kingdom electronically, and it permits the use of electronic means in notary transactions, giving them the legal status prescribed for paper transactions.
According to the amendments, the geographical jurisdiction of the notary will be expanded to include all governorates without being limited by the place jurisdiction rules of the court to which it belongs, thus reducing the time, effort, and cost on citizens and service recipients and enabling them to accomplish their transactions electronically or at the nearest available location.
