Rare Snow Covers the Streets of Tripoli Transforming the Libyan Capital into a Winter Scene

Khaberni - Today, Sunday, the Libyan capital Tripoli experienced a rare snowfall that covered several streets and coastal neighborhoods, an unusual weather phenomenon for the city with a typically moderate Mediterranean climate.

The circulated images show a white layer of snow over the roads and well-known landmarks in the center of the capital, amid cold weather and a notable drop in temperatures, due to a very cold air mass penetrating the atmosphere over large areas of the north of the country.

According to weather watchers, this phenomenon is one of the rarest climatic conditions recorded in Tripoli, where snow typically falls only in the Green Mountain area in the eastern part of the country, and rarely reaches the coastal cities.

The phenomenon sparked widespread interaction among citizens on social media platforms, where they shared photos and videos showing the capital dressed in snow, an unprecedented scene that decorates the Libyan capital in white.
