Khaberni - Gold jumped to a record level, exceeding the 5000 dollar mark per ounce, continuing its historic rise as investors flock to safe assets amid escalating geopolitical tensions.
The escalation of the dispute between the United States and NATO over Greenland has contributed to this year's rising gold prices amidst expectations of further financial and geopolitical uncertainty.
The precious metal increased by 64% in the year 2025, supported by the easing of American monetary policy, increased demand from central banks - with China extending its gold buying spree to the fourteenth month in December - and record inflows into exchange-traded funds.
Independent analyst Ross Norman said, "Our expectations for this year are that gold prices will reach $6400 per ounce, with an average of $5375."
