Dispensing with Two Stars Klopp Sets His Own Rules for Coaching Real Madrid

Khaberni - Spanish media reports suggest that German coach Jurgen Klopp may impose technical conditions related to Real Madrid's lineup if he decides to coach the team in the upcoming period, including dismissing two players.

Real Madrid had announced at the beginning of this month the dismissal of its coach Xabi Alonso, after less than 8 months of his appointment, entrusting the task temporarily to Alvaro Arbeloa, the former coach of the Castilla team and a former player of the club.

Arbeloa began his tenure with an early exit from the King's Cup of Spain, after a defeat against Albacete from the second division, before the team regained its balance by achieving a win in the Spanish league against Levante, then a significant triumph over Monaco in the UEFA Champions League.

The royal club did not disclose details of Arbeloa's contract or his duration in office, which has opened the door to speculation about the future of the technical staff, and the possibility of a new change at the end of the season. In this context, the Spanish newspaper AS mentioned that Jurgen Klopp's name was brought up within Real Madrid's management as one of the potential options to take over the task, but any official move is still postponed at the moment.

Klopp is currently working as a global football manager at Red Bull group, and he previously commented on news linking him with Real Madrid by stating that he is not currently thinking about returning to coaching, confirming his desire to continue in his current position.

In contrast, the Spanish site Defensa Central indicated that Klopp, if he enters into serious negotiations with Real Madrid, might request changes in some positions, including dispensing with full-backs Dani Carvajal and Ferland Mendy.

Carvajal is 34 years old, and his contract with the club ends at the end of the current season, having recently suffered from a cruciate ligament injury. Mendy, on the other hand, has missed most of the season's competitions due to recurrent muscle injuries, and has only appeared for limited minutes in the Spanish league, in addition to one match in the UEFA Champions League.

This information comes at a time when Real Madrid continues to assess its technical options in preparation for the upcoming season, amid declining results and instability in the technical staff.
