Education Books Ready for Delivery and Ramadan Schedule To Be Defined Later

Khaberni  - Spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, Mahmoud Hayasat, attributed the difference in the school calendar between public and private schools to the implementation of a national program aimed at supporting student learning in public schools.

He added that the program aims to implement remedial measures to address educational loss among students and to enhance their academic achievement, noting that these measures include starting the school year ten days earlier than the approved date in both the first and second semesters at all public schools, totaling 20 additional school days, alongside preparing and teaching remedial materials in Arabic and mathematics subjects, in addition to executing quality programs for professional development that include professional learning communities, which contribute to enhancing the efficiency of teachers, school principals, and educational supervisors, thus supporting the optimal implementation of the remedial plan.
Regarding the distribution of schoolbooks to students, he confirmed that the books are available and have been delivered to the directorates of education.
Regarding the schedule during Ramadan, Hayasat confirmed that there will be a change to the school hours during the holy month, similar to other ministries, but it is too early to determine the details, nature of the change, and specific times.
