Enhancing Readiness Launch of USGCC Security Exercise in Qatar

Khaberni - The joint mobilization exercise of the GCC states' security agencies and units from the United States launched today in Qatar, under the slogan "Arabian Gulf Security 4".

The exercise is sponsored by the Qatari Minister of Interior, commander of the internal security force "Lekhwiya" Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and the opening was attended by numerous officials and security leaders from the Council states.

The exercise will continue until February 4, 2026, with the participation of the GCC's security devices and forces, and specialized security units from the United States. It includes executing more than 70 training scenarios, totaling over 260 hours of intensive field training.

The aim of the exercise is to enhance the level of security readiness and to boost integration and coordination on the field, as well as to test the efficiency of operational plans and response mechanisms, reflecting the high level of professionalism and advanced capabilities GCC security agencies have achieved in handling various security challenges.

The choice of Doha to host the fourth edition of the exercise reflects confidence in the Qatari organizational and training capacities, and the role played by "Lekhwiya" in enhancing the collective security system and developing joint coordination mechanisms to combat crime and terrorism.

The Qatari Supreme Committee for the Exercise previously confirmed that all organizational, training, and logistical arrangements had been completed, ensuring the events are executed in multiple locations according to the highest standards of security, safety, and efficiency.

The committee appreciated the participation of the GCC countries and the United States in the exercise, considering that "Arabian Gulf Security 4" represents a crucial milestone for enhancing security coordination and levels of readiness, contributing to the security and stability of the Arabian Gulf region.
