It grabbed my attention yesterday, Saturday, dated 24 / 1 / 2026, at Deir Alla in the Jordan Valley area, which hosted the thirty-third round of the Jordanian National Forum "Jordanian Tribal Initiative" by a generous invitation from the respected Sheikh Sultan Al Faour. It caught my attention how much tribal support and endorsement rallied around the initiative of His Excellency Dr. Awad Khleifat, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, with many tribal sheikhs, dignitaries, national symbols, and men, including senior military and civilian retirees, university professors, businessmen, and all spectra of society gathering around him, all of whom praised His Excellency Dr. Khleifat as men praise loyal men, offering him sincere substantial praise, and expressing deep appreciation and admiration for his distinct political thought and his delicate national sense. His Excellency Dr. Awad Khleifat, known for his wisdom, acumen, foresight, political horizon breadth, political and academic experience, and distinguished social and tribal presence, was the first to hasten to announce this initiative since November 11, 2024, after the idea of relocating the people of Gaza to Jordan was proposed. This initiative confirmed the importance of the Jordanian tribes' role in supporting the position of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein in rejecting the idea of displacing Palestinians, the concept of resettlement, the alternative homeland idea, and emphasizing the importance of national unity and the cohesion of the Jordanian social fabric in all its components, directions, and spectra rallying around the Hashemite leadership and standing behind His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein to achieve the highest Jordanian national interest, and that we all be Jordanians inside the Jordanian state for our national interest, and all be Palestinians outside the homeland for the Palestinian cause until the Palestinian people can establish an independent Palestinian state on its national soil with its capital in Jerusalem.
Dr. Khleifat's initiative emphasizes the importance of supporting the Jordanian Armed Forces and the security agencies as they represent the shield of the nation and its secure keeper against any conspiracies or challenges facing our beloved country, and the Jordanian tribes are a strong support for the valiant Arab army and victorious security agencies, asserting that our national unity, national awareness, and adherence to the wise Hashemite leadership are the solid rock that shatters any conspiracy or any attempt aimed at undermining the security, stability, and resources of the nation.
Undoubtedly, Dr. Khleifat's initiative has found noteworthy acceptance in the popular and tribal Jordanian circles, having held up to now thirty-three rounds in various provinces of the kingdom, north, center, south, and in its cities, villages, and deserts, which indicates the importance of the proposal presented by Dr. Awad Khleifat in these critical circumstances the region is undergoing, a proposal that has succeeded in various Jordanian circles.
The continuity of the initiative for almost two years and its spread across the entire kingdom is the best proof of the support of the Jordanian tribes in all their categories, spectra, and geographic areas for this initiative, and their unanimous rallying behind the inspiring and victorious Hashemite leadership in confronting all conspiracies, challenges, and crises facing our beloved Jordan.
