Does the series And We Forget What Was represent the tragedy of Sherine Yasmin Abdelazizs brother settles the controversy

Khaberni - A state of controversy and discussion sparked by the thrilling promo for the series "And We Forget What Was" starring Yasmin Abdelaziz, set to air in the upcoming Ramadan season, portraying harsh psychological conflicts and crises behind fame, which led the audience to wonder about its connection to the artist Sherine Abdelwahab, who is going through a difficult period in her life.

In his first comment on the matter, artist Wael Abdelaziz, brother of Yasmin Abdelaziz, who is experiencing acting in the series for the first time with her, said that the promo sparked various reactions and questions since its release, which is a good thing. However, the issue of linking its story to a specific person's life is only spoken about by the work's star and production team.

Abdelaziz emphasized, in an exclusive interview for 24, that there were "strict instructions" from the production team to the entire acting crew of the series not to disclose their roles at all during this period, which comes as part of exciting the audience and surprising them with a different artistic work that everyone is waiting for, noting at the same time that the details of the series will soon be announced.

Developments in the offensive pictures crisis
Regarding the crisis of offensive pictures of his sister, artist Yasmin Abdelaziz, which coincided with the release of the work's promo and was considered a "conspiracy" to defame her, Abdelaziz stated that legal proceedings were taken and any attempt to harm his sister will be countered, revealing that full details about the developments in this matter will be announced soon.

Drama from human reality
In turn, the screenwriter Amr Mahmoud Yassin, the author of "And We Forget What Was," told local media in response to linking the series to Sherine Abdelwahab, stating that the work does not target any specific public figure, and does not discuss the biography of a specific artist.

Yassin pointed out that his writings are based on general human experiences and personal experiences he went through or heard about, which might make some details similar to known stories, and that the resemblance is coincidental, in the framework of presenting drama inspired by the general human reality.

Story and stars of the series
The series "And We Forget What Was" sheds light on the "backstage of stardom" and behind the curtain from prices and sacrifices, offering a dramatic treatment of the theme of memory and the ability to continue despite crises.

The series presents a human dramatic vision that deals with the struggles of fame, and what it conceals of psychological pains and scars from the past, as the work does not only highlight the brilliance of success but delves into its emotional backstage through existential questions about the ability to move beyond the past and the cost that may be paid to continue at the top.

Yasmin Abdelaziz embodies the character "Jalila Raslan," a famous artist living complex inner conflicts under the pressures of fame and the past, while the role of the artist Karim Fahmy raises questions about the nature of his relationship with her, and whether he stands with her or becomes a party to her psychological struggle.

The series is written by Amr Mahmoud Yassin, directed by Mohamed El Khabeery, and stars alongside Yasmin Abdelaziz and Karim Fahmy, a cast of stars including Sherine Reda, Khaled Sarhan, Menna Fadali, Mahmoud Yassin Junior, Wael Abdelaziz, Mohamed Lotfy, Mahmoud Hafez, and Ehab Fahmy.
