Fatal shooting by immigration forces in Minneapolis governor demands their withdrawal

Khaberni - American media announced the death of an individual in a shooting by federal officers in Minneapolis, Minnesota, while the state governor called on President Trump to withdraw the federal forces from there.

The Associated Press reported that the victim, aged 37, died after being shot by federal immigration officers, according to hospital records obtained by the agency.

Before that, the Democratic Governor Tim Walz said that federal officers had fired on a person in Minneapolis on Saturday amidst President Trump's immigration crackdown.

Walz posted on social media that he had contacted the White House after the horrific shooting incident, urging President Trump to immediately end the federal operation in Minnesota and withdraw the thousands of officers he described as violent and untrained.


Protests against immigration forces
The city streets were flooded on Friday with thousands of protesters opposing the stringent immigration campaign in cold weather, calling for the departure of the federal law enforcement forces.

A widely circulated video captured moments of abuse by several U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents concurrent with reports of the shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Other video footage showed a large number of residents gathering near the scene of the incident, before the police intervened and prevented them from getting closer.

Thousands of protesters in Minneapolis, Minnesota, called for the departure of the federal immigration forces while the police arrested dozens around the city's airport.
