Rise of European Stocks After Trump Announces Greenland Deal

Khaberni - European stocks ended trading on Thursday higher after U.S. President Donald Trump said a "framework agreement" on Greenland had been reached, and announced the cancellation of escalating tariffs on a group of European countries.

The Stoxx 600 European Index closed up 1.1 percent, with most sectors and all main regional exchanges recording gains, according to CNBC.

The French CAC 40 Index rose: 8,148.89 points by 0.99 percent, while the British FTSE 100 Index increased: 10,150.05 points by 0.12 percent.

The German DAX Index also rose: 24,876.24 points by 1.28 percent.
