The video clip that documented these moments garnered millions of views and likes on social media platforms, showing the travelers as they practiced movements resembling the "archery" posture and warm hand massages for the face and waist.
Khaberni - Cairo International Airport witnessed an incident that caught the attention of travelers of various nationalities, where a group of Chinese ladies spontaneously led a training session for traditional "Baduanjin Qigong" exercises inside the waiting hall.
This sports initiative came after the announcement of a flight delay from the Egyptian capital to the city of Aswan, which exceeded five hours, prompting travelers to look for a way to alleviate the stress of waiting.
The incident began when members of a Chinese tourist group, known in their country as "the aunties," decided to use their free time to practice sports movements aimed at activating blood circulation and relieving stress.
Ms. Chen, one of the participants in the group, explained to Chinese media that the training began with only three participants, before a number of foreign travelers present at the site gradually joined them, who were eager to learn and accurately mimic the movements.
Followers praised this step, considering that physical health is a universal language that transcends boundaries, while others mentioned the effectiveness of these movements in alleviating muscle stiffness caused by prolonged sitting.
It is worth mentioning that some Chinese airlines have recently started showing educational videos of these exercises on their screens during international flights to help passengers relax.
