Khaberni - The Ministry of Water and Irrigation / Water Authority detected assaults on one of the main conveyance lines in Zarqa, Halabat area with a diameter of 300 mm, which involved pulling water lines to supply non-compliant houses and properties.
In Ain Al-Basha as well, the ministry’s staff detected assaults on 2 main lines used for collecting water from non-compliant springs and selling it through tankers to citizens, with 3 assaults detected in Amman for supplying a building and houses non-compliantly.
The sale of non-compliant tanker tanks was also detected in Irbid, Idoun area, where the assaults were removed, documentation prepared, violations recorded, and quantities will be calculated and the violators fined for the water prices.
The Ministry / Water Authority announced that it will continue its inspection campaign in all areas of the Kingdom to control the assaults, calling on everyone to act responsibly and report any assaults to ensure fair distribution of water to the citizens, praising the wide response from the Jordanian community to the ministry's/Water Authority’s campaign.
The Ministry / Water Authority calls on everyone to cooperate with it and unite in such water-related situations to enable it to fulfill its duties, urging everyone to report any assaults or unlawful uses through the unified complaints center 117116 and all available means.
The ministry said that it detected these assaults through its inspection staff in the internal control unit in cooperation with Jordan Water Company - Miyahuna, Yarmouk Water Company and within its ongoing campaign to tighten control over water sources in all areas of the Kingdom implemented during the period from January 17 to 21, in collaboration with the Directorate of Public Security.
