Iran Warns Trump of a Total and Fierce Confrontation

Khaberni - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, today, Wednesday, issued the most stringent and direct threat to date to the United States, warning that the Islamic Republic "will respond with all it has, if it is attacked again".

Araghchi launched this threat in an opinion piece published by the "Wall Street Journal", where he stated that "the violent phase of the disturbances lasted less than 72 hours", and he again sought to blame the armed protesters for the violence.

Araghchi wrote, referring to the war that lasted 12 days waged by Israel against Iran in June 2025: "Unlike the restraint shown by Iran in June 2025, our strong armed forces have no hesitation whatsoever in responding with all we possess, if we face a new attack."

He added: "This is not a threat, but a reality I feel necessary to convey clearly, as I am a diplomat and a seasoned warrior, and I detest war."

He continued, saying: "Any total confrontation will certainly be fierce, and will last much longer than the imaginary timelines that Israel and its agents are trying to promote to the White House, and it will undoubtedly sweep across the region on a broader scale, and will have an impact on ordinary people all around the world."

Araghchi’s statements come at a time when an American aircraft carrier group is moving west towards the Middle East from Asia, following his invitation being withdrawn to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos due to the suppression of protesters in his country.

Meanwhile, it seems that American fighters and other equipment are moving in the Middle East following a wide American military deployment in the Caribbean area, which saw the arrest of Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela by American forces.
