Kurdish Official Israel Offered Us Support in Syria

Khaberni - The co-chair of the Foreign Relations Department in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Ilham Ahmed, announced today, Tuesday, in a conversation with journalists, about communication with Israeli figures, affirming her forces’ welcome of support from «any source», amid the escalation with Damascus.

Ahmed said during an online press briefing, according to a translation of her statements from Kurdish, «There are specific figures from the Israeli state involved in communications with us and we are awaiting any form of support», adding: «We are open to receiving support... whatever the source may be».

Ilham Ahmed also confirmed that the agreement with Damascus is «no longer valid» at the present time, in light of stalled negotiations and the exchange of accusations of launching military attacks. She said, «Due to the absence of a ceasefire, with Damascus continuing to attack our areas and refusing to engage in dialogue, the agreement is no longer valid at the present time».

On the eighth of this month, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar said «The attacks launched by the Syrian regime forces on the Kurdish minority in the city of Aleppo are severe and dangerous... The systematic and bloody repression of various minorities in Syria contradicts the promises of 'New Syria'».

Khaberni - The General Command of the «Syrian Democratic Forces» (SDF), yesterday, called for general mobilization, urging «all youth, girls and boys in Rojava, north, south, and east Kurdistan, as well as in Europe, to unite and overcome the boundaries set by the occupiers and join the resistance», after information emerged about the failure of a meeting held by the SDF's general commander Mazloum Abdi in Damascus to secure the terms of the agreement signed, the day before yesterday, between the government and the «SDF».

Syrian sources confirmed that the meeting held in Damascus yesterday between the Syrian government, the American envoy Tom Barrack, and a delegation from the «Syrian Democratic Forces» failed, as the SDF commander withdrew from the agreement he had signed, which affirmed the unity of Syrian territory.

Sources revealed to the «German News Agency» that the meeting, which lasted for 5 continuous hours in the presence of Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa, Defense Minister Marhaf Abu Qasar, Foreign Minister Assad al-Shibani, Intelligence Director Hussein al-Salama, and the American delegation headed by Barrack and the «SDF» delegation led by Mazloum Abdi, failed after the latter rescinded the agreement and refused the position of Deputy Defense Minister or nomination for the position of governor of Hasakah.
