Khaberni - According to "Fox News", the U.S. Department of State will release a limited number of American passports to commemorate the 250th anniversary of America's independence.
The new passport designs, obtained by "Fox News Digital", feature an image of President Donald Trump on the inner cover.
The prototypes show Trump's image surrounded by the text of the Declaration of Independence and the American flag, along with the president's signature in gold. Another page contains the famous painting of the Founding Fathers signing the Declaration of Independence.
These passports, set to be issued this summer, are part of the broader "America 250" celebrations under the Trump administration, which also include a "Grand Prix" race at the "National Mall" in August, and a UFC match on the south lawn of the White House in June.
The spokesperson for the Department of State, Tommy Bigot, told the network: "As the United States celebrates the 250th anniversary of America in July, the Department of State is preparing to issue a limited number of American passports specially designed for this historic occasion".
Bigot affirmed that the identity books, featuring custom artwork and enhanced images, will include "the same security features that make the American passport one of the most secure documents in the world".
The covers of the commemorative American passports have been slightly modified, enlarging the phrase "United States of America" and placing it at the top of the passport, above the emblem. The back cover will bear an American flag with the number "250" centered among the 13 stars that appeared in the 1777 version of the flag.
An official at the Department of State told "Fox News Digital" that the new designs will be available to any "American citizen" who applies for a passport at the start of the launch, and this will continue as long as supplies last. The official explained that the passports will only be available at the "Washington Passport Agency". The official indicated that the launch of the passports is expected to coincide with the 250th anniversary in July.
Americans across the country are gearing up for the major kickoff this summer for a national celebration that has been years in the making. A spokesperson for the Department of the Interior in this regard said: "Under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump, America's 250th birthday will be marked by a once-in-a-lifetime celebration that embodies the American spirit — and includes a spectacular fireworks display at 'Mount Rushmore' honoring our history at the memorial that symbolizes those who built it".
From June 25 to July 10, 2026, the "National Mall" in Washington, D.C., will transform into the "Great American State Fair", featuring events in the style of a rodeo, a Ferris wheel, and pavilions from all states and territories.
