MarcAndré ter Stegen undergoes medical examination with his new club

Khaberni - The departure of the German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen from the ranks of FC Barcelona has become a matter of time after a nearly final agreement from Girona FC to sign the veteran player.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", ter Stegen will not travel with the Catalan team to face their counterpart Slavia Prague tomorrow evening, Wednesday, in the fifth round of the group stage of the Champions League, and will undergo a medical examination with Girona FC as a prelude to his departure on loan until the end of the season.

According to what the Spanish newspaper mentioned in a previous report, the Barcelona team has reached a verbal agreement with Girona concerning the German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen.

It was reported that Barcelona will cover 90% of the German goalkeeper's salary and Girona will only bear less than one million euros.

Ter Stegen is striving to obtain enough opportunities to participate in order to be present at the 2026 World Cup with the German national team.

Ter Stegen is linked with a contract with Barcelona until the summer of 2028 and has contributed in winning the Champions League title along with six Spanish League titles and also the FIFA Club World Cup.

Barcelona's squad includes goalkeeper Juan Garcia, who joined from Espanyol at the beginning of this season, alongside Wojciech Szczesny.
