AlSailiya Qatar concludes deal with Ali Alwan

Khaberni - In a sudden and exciting turn of events during the current winter transfer market, the Qatari Al-Sailiya club announced the conclusion of a deal to sign the international Jordanian striker and star of the "Al-Nashama", Ali Alwan, coming from Al-Karamah Iraqi club.

This move comes after all indicators and reports had confirmed the player's proximity to officially signing with Al Riyadh Saudi club.

Reliable sources had confirmed that Al Riyadh club reached an agreement involving the payment of the release clause in his contract with Al-Karamah Iraqi club, amounting to about half a million dollars.

However, the last few hours witnessed a sudden setback in the final touches of negotiations between the two sides, which opened the door for Al-Sailiya Qatari club to intervene and snatch the Jordanian star's signature.

Al-Sailiya secures "Arab top scorer"
The contract with Alwan is a significant gain for the Qatari club, given the high technical value the player offers, especially after his remarkable performance and being crowned top scorer of the 2025 Arab Cup with a tally of 6 goals.

Alwan was the focus of several Arab and Gulf clubs, including Al Damk Saudi club, due to his high scoring abilities and mobility in the front line, which made the competition to sign him intense until the last moments.

Alwan's departure from the Iraqi league and his move towards Doha comes as part of the efforts of Jordanian national team stars to secure their technical future in leagues that offer stability and scheduling that align with their preparations for competing in the 2026 World Cup finals.

Although the player's ambition was oriented towards the Saudi "Roshan" league due to its current global strength, joining the Al-Sailiya project remains an important step to maintain his competitive rhythm and develop his skills under the watchful eyes of the Jordanian national team's technical staff.

Alwan is expected to join the training of his new team in the Qatari capital Doha in the next few days, to start a new chapter in his professional career, after a successful period spent in Iraqi fields, waiting for the official announcement of the details of the contract duration and the financial value of the deal that caused a wide stir in the sports environment.
