Khaberni - The Presidency announced that President Ahmed Al-Shara received today in Damascus the U.S. Special Envoy to Syria, Thomas Barrack, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Hassan Al-Sheibani.
During the meeting, President Al-Shara emphasized the unity and sovereignty of Syria over all its territory, stressing the importance of dialogue at this stage, the necessity of working towards building Syria with the participation of all Syrians, alongside continuing the coordination of efforts in the field of combating terrorism.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance economic cooperation between Syria and the United States, and also touched on the latest regional developments and issues of mutual interest.
