Araghchi commenting on the sinking of Dina The United States will bitterly regret it

Khaberni - Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused the United States of committing a "sea horror" after targeting an Iranian frigate in international waters 2000 miles from the Iranian coast.
Araghchi said in a post on the platform "X" that the frigate "Dina", which was a guest of the Indian navy and had about 130 sailors on board, was struck in international waters without any prior warning.

The Iranian Foreign Minister warned of the repercussions of this attack, saying: "Take my words into account: The United States will bitterly regret the precedent it has set".
The Iranian frigate sank off the southern coast of Sri Lanka, while Sri Lankan authorities announced the rescue of several sailors and the recovery of bodies from the accident site, as rescue teams continue the search for the missing.

The Sri Lankan Foreign Minister, Vijita Herath, told parliament that the Iranian frigate "IRIS Dina" sank after issuing a distress call off the coast of the city of Galle in the south of the island.

He explained that about 180 people were on board the ship, noting that the Sri Lankan forces were able to rescue 32 Iranian sailors and transport them to the main hospital in the south of the country for treatment.

Reuters reported, citing sources in the navy and the Sri Lankan Ministry of Defense, that one person died and 78 others were injured, while 101 remain missing. However, a spokesperson for the Sri Lankan navy said these figures are "not accurate", confirming that only 32 people were rescued and they are receiving treatment in the hospital.
