Khaberni - Jerash Governor Malik Kharisat said that the Public Safety Committee has surveyed the number of agricultural ponds in Jerash Governorate, totaling 200 agricultural ponds.
Kharisat added that a joint committee from the Public Safety Committee, Jerash Directorate of Agriculture, and Jerash Water Directorate will conduct field tours to ensure that pond owners comply with public safety conditions, indicating that a special meeting will be held with the pond owners in the governorate building.
Kharisat pointed out that the purpose of inventorying the number of ponds and holding the meeting with their owners is to reduce the risks of these ponds, due to some owners' non-compliance with public safety requirements.
Kharisat explained that all legal measures will be taken against the owners of ponds who do not comply with public safety conditions, which pose a risk to the safety of citizens.
