College of Medical Sciences in Amman Arab University Opens Innovations in Genomics and Stem Cells

Khaberni - In the framework of the Arab Amman University's commitment to enhancing scientific research and keeping up with the latest developments in biomedical sciences, the College of Applied Medical Sciences at the university organized a specialized scientific lecture titled: "Biotechnology: Keys to Innovation in Genomics and Stem Cells", in collaboration with INNOVIA Biobank (Baby Cord), with the aim of establishing a culture of scientific research, linking theoretical knowledge with practical application, and opening wide scientific horizons for students in the fields of biotechnology and advanced medical sciences, with the participation of faculty members and students at the college.

The lecture was presented by: Pharmacist Hanan Al-Safarini and Pharmacist Batool Al-Azzam from INNOVIA Biobank. During the lecture, they reviewed the latest developments in biotechnology, focusing on advanced applications of genomics and stem cell research, and their role in developing diagnostic and treatment methods, supporting regenerative medicine and personalized medicine. The lecture also highlighted the strategic role of cell banks and cord blood in enhancing scientific research, developing future treatments, and supporting medical innovation, which contributes to improving the quality of healthcare and advancing the overall treatment system.

On this occasion, Professor Dr. Rana Abu Hweij, Dean of the College of Applied Medical Sciences, affirmed that Amman Arab University prioritizes the development of academic programs and enhancing partnerships with specialized scientific institutions, which contributes to preparing qualified cadres capable of keeping up with the rapid scientific transformations and meeting the needs of the local and regional job market.
