The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Amman Arab University Holds a Scientific Lecture Titled Laboratory Diagnosis of Infe

Khaberni  - Driven by the commitment of Amman Arab University to enhance health awareness and spread medical culture among its students and the academic community, the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at the university organized a scientific lecture titled: "Laboratory Diagnosis of Infectious Diseases Using Molecular Techniques (PCR)", presented by Professor Ammar Abu Ghlioun, a member of the Center for Combating Infectious Diseases in Jordan, with the attendance of Dr. Wisam Al Wazni, acting dean of the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, Dr. Bilal Al Shoumali, head of the Department of Medical Sciences, and a number of students from the faculty.

During the lecture, Professor Abu Ghlioun discussed the latest methods of diagnosing infectious diseases, focusing on the Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technique, its various types and applications in both research and diagnostic fields, providing a scientific explanation of the concept of infectious diseases, their transmission mechanisms, factors influencing their spread within communities, and including developments in modern laboratory diagnostic techniques, and the role of molecular techniques in increasing the accuracy and speed of detecting pathogens, and their importance in supporting national health efforts and combating epidemics.

This lecture is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences at Amman Arab University, in its effort to keep up with modern scientific developments, connecting students with national specialized expertise, and preparing qualified medical personnel capable of serving the community and the health sector efficiently and effectively.
