Amman Arab University organizes a scientific visit to introduce the students of the Finance Department to the history of currenc

Khaberni - In embodiment of the message and vision of Amman Arab University aimed at preparing qualified students possessing the knowledge and historical awareness related to their academic disciplines, and in line with the directives of Professor Dr. Mohammad Al Wadiyan, President of the University, and with continuous support from Dr. Ahoud Al-Khasawneh, Dean of the Business College at the university, the college and through the Finance Department organized a scientific visit to the Currency Museum of the Central Bank of Jordan, under the supervision of Dr. Raad Al-Samadi, Head of the Finance Department, and Dr. Baith Al-Dlain, faculty member in the Finance Department at the Business College of the university.

The visit aimed to introduce students to the history of currency inception in Jordan and its developmental stages throughout the ages, from ancient currencies to the modern monetary system, which enhances their understanding of the historical and economic roots of the Jordanian monetary system and its role in supporting financial stability. During the visit, students explored the documentary exhibits housed in the museum, which include a variety of metal and paper currency models, minting and circulation tools, alongside historical explanations that highlight the evolution of monetary policies and the role of the Central Bank of Jordan in currency regulation and maintaining purchasing power, thereby enriching their theoretical knowledge with practical application and deepening their cognitive experiences.

This visit reaffirms Amman Arab University’s commitment through its colleges and academic departments to translate its vision and mission into providing an educational environment that promotes cognitive and integrative learning, contributing to the preparation of a conscious generation capable of understanding the past and anticipating the future. At the conclusion of the visit, students expressed their deep gratitude and appreciation to the university management, the Business College, and the Finance Department for organizing this purposeful scientific visit, which positively impacted their knowledge and linked theoretical aspects with practical application.
