Washington asked Europeans for intelligence information on targets inside Iran

Khaberni - The "Washington Post" reported from European officials that the Trump administration requested from European countries intelligence information about targets in Iran for possible strikes.

The newspaper mentioned that "two European officials said that the Trump administration asked their countries on Monday to share intelligence information about potential targets inside Iran".

One of these officials said that he sees no indication that Trump would attack the nuclear facilities.

A source from the newspaper suggested that the United States might target leaders of organizations and forces that are considered responsible for the acts of violence witnessed in Iran during the protests.

President Donald Trump stated yesterday that Iran is on his mind when he sees the number of deaths occurring there, explaining that he will soon receive a casualty count and will act accordingly.

In turn, Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, blamed the United States and Israel for the civilian casualties in Iran following Trump's statements. He called on the UN Security Council to "demand the United States and the Israeli regime immediately stop destabilizing policies and respect their international obligations".

President Trump previously urged Iranian protesters to continue protesting and take over administrative buildings, adding that he has cut off all communications with Iranian officials until "the killing stops", and that "help is on the way" to the protesters, threatening Iran with "strong actions" which he did not specify yet.
