Khaberni - Mohamed Albashabsheh, the Chairman of the Greater Ajloun Municipality Committee, confirmed that the field staff, supported by municipal machinery and rented equipment, handled the hotspots and soil collapses during the prevailing low-pressure weather system with proficiency.
He explained that the technical teams immediately began to clean culverts and open roads to ensure the safety of pedestrians and traffic flow, noting that the municipality had started its preparations for the winter season early by implementing projects to build and maintain drain networks in vital areas such as the city center and Al-Qal'a Street.
He added that these projects aim to address previous technical issues and prevent water from flooding homes and commercial premises in low-lying areas.
He pointed out that the municipal teams continue to carry out inspection tours of streambeds and channels, along with building temporary water barriers (Kendrin) to direct water away from residential areas, affirming the municipality's high readiness to receive and address all citizen feedback effectively and quickly.
He confirmed that the municipal staff dealt professionally and with high efficiency with a number of routine observations received by the operations rooms.
