48 increase in Amman Chamber of Commerce exports last year

Khaberni - The value of the certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce in 2025 for exporting goods and products to Arab and foreign countries increased by 4.8 percent compared to the year 2024.

According to statistical data from the chamber, the value of Amman's trade exports last year was 1.431 billion dinars, compared to 1.365 billion dinars in 2024, indicating the positive indicators achieved by the national economy.

The number of certificates of origin issued by the chamber also increased by 6.9 percent last year, reaching 40,945 certificates, compared to 38,302 certificates during 2024.

The data shows that Iraq topped the list of countries importing the most from the kingdom in terms of the value of the certificates of origin last year, amounting to approximately 629 million dinars, with 3,545 certificates followed by Switzerland with about 134 million dinars and 33 certificates.

Saudi Arabia followed with a value of 104 million dinars, with 10,021 certificates then Egypt with a value of about 96 million dinars and 999 certificates, and the United Arab Emirates with a value of 84 million dinars, with 4,259 certificates. These countries are among the top five in terms of value.

In terms of product types, the value of the chamber's exports last year from foreign products (goods of foreign origin) was 687 million dinars, industrial products were 254 million dinars, and agricultural products were about 185 million dinars, and Arab products (goods of Arab origin) were about 125 million dinars, with the rest going to other products.

It should be noted that a certificate of origin is a document used in international trade to authenticate that the goods in a particular shipment were produced, manufactured, or processed in a specific country and is used by customs to determine the eligibility of goods for defining their tariff rate and to verify the country of origin of those goods.

It is mentioned that Amman Chamber of Commerce issues certificates of origin for Jordanian agricultural and animal products, raw natural resources, and foreign goods that are re-exported as well as foreign goods purchased from the local market under specific conditions.

The chamber also issues certificates of origin for Jordanian industrial products based on the exporter's request, according to the original factory invoice certified by an industrial chamber and an original and properly certified certificate of origin issued by an industrial chamber proving that the goods are of Jordanian origin, according to the provisions of Article (29) of the Jordan Chambers of Commerce System No. (45) for the year 2009 and the instructions for issuing certificates of origin for the year 2013.
