Khaberni - The Al-Nuzha cemetery in the Al-Wala area in Madaba Province in Jordan, has undergone a new excavation and destruction process by treasure and bounty hunters, in a repeat of previous violations that have disrespected the sanctity of the place.
Residents confirmed in a statement to "Khaberni" that the cemetery is repeatedly subjected to digging and tampering, and the relevant authorities and media have been informed repeatedly to no avail, indicating that new clear excavations show the extent of the damage incurred.
The community has made a plea to decision-makers and security forces to urgently intervene to stop these violations, respect the sanctity of the cemeteries, and take legal action against the perpetrators.
