Khaberni - Stemming from its community role and commitment to the values of social responsibility, Amman Arab University has carried out the "Warm Winter 2025–2026" campaign, in cooperation with Unified Mission Organization for Relief and Development – Jordan Office (UMR-JO), aiming to support dignified families and alleviate the effects of cold waves during the winter season in several provinces of the kingdom, targeting (250) families in the provinces of Jerash, Ajloun, Balqa, and Tafilah, by providing essential heating supplies, which contributes to enhancing household security during the forty coldest days of winter.
The campaign included the distribution of gas stoves, gas cylinders, fuel coupons, blankets, and winter clothing, meeting the heating needs and protecting the beneficiary families, especially children and the elderly, from the consequences of the temperature drop, as part of humanitarian efforts aiming to provide a warmer and safer environment during the winter season.
This campaign comes as part of a series of humanitarian and community initiatives carried out by Amman Arab University to support the local community, embodying its mission to enhance social solidarity and foster a culture of giving and volunteer work, and building effective and sustainable partnerships with national and international humanitarian institutions. These initiatives aim to respond to the actual needs of the less fortunate, and contribute to improving their living conditions, making a tangible humanitarian impact that extends to various provinces of the kingdom.
Amman Arab University reaffirms its commitment to continue implementing targeted community initiatives that enhance the values of giving and social responsibility, involve its academic and administrative staff and students in humanitarian and developmental work, translating its developmental and humanitarian role alongside its educational mission, and supporting the goals of sustainable development, and cementing the university's status as an effective educational institution in serving the community and building humanity.
