Khaberni - The Meteorological Administration stated in its bulletin issued on 10/01/2026 that the Kingdom will witness clear weather fluctuations over the next four days, starting with a relative increase in temperature, followed by a gradual impact of a weather trough accompanied by a very cold air mass.
The Meteorological Department explained that on Sunday, a rise in temperatures will occur, registering (3–4) degrees Celsius above the general averages, with relatively cold weather in most areas and pleasant weather in the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Aqaba. At night, the weather will be cold, warning of decreased horizontal visibility in the morning due to fog and the risk of frost formation on high mountain peaks.
It added that Monday will witness a slight decrease in temperatures, with cold weather during the day, while at night the Kingdom will be affected by a weather trough centered over the island of Cyprus, turning the weather cloudy and bringing showers in the north, central parts of the Kingdom, and parts of the southwest, which may sometimes be heavy and accompanied by thunder and hail, with active winds reaching gusts of (50–60) km/h, warning of the risk of flash floods and reduced visibility due to dust in the desert and fog formation over the mountains.
The Meteorological Department indicated that on Tuesday, the impact of the very cold air mass will deepen, and a noticeable decrease in temperatures will occur, resulting in very cold, cloudy, and rainy weather in most areas, with occasional heavy rainfall, and a chance for light snow showers over the high mountain peaks mixed with rain, with a possibility of light and limited accumulation over the southern Sharah peaks, with continued wind activity raising dust in the desert areas.
On Wednesday, a slight rise in temperatures will occur during the day, with continuing chances of light rain showers in the north and central parts of the Kingdom and limited parts of the southwest, with the weather tending to stabilize in the evening, while the weather at night remains very cold, with the possibility of fog formation over the mountainous heights.
The Meteorological Department urged citizens to be cautious and avoid stream beds during rainfalls, to be aware of the risk of slipping on roads, and emphasized the importance of wearing warm clothing and safe use of heating devices, giving special attention to the elderly and children as they are more affected by the cold.
