Zarqa Labor 2541 Workers Covered by Insurance Last Year

Khaberni - Ashraf Matar, director of the Zarqa Governorate Labor Directorate, said that the number of workers covered by social security in the governorate in 2025 reached about 2541 persons, including 1015 females.

Matar explained that the directorate conducted 1688 inspection visits last year, which covered private sector establishments in the governorate, as part of its efforts to monitor the application of labor law provisions and the effective regulations and instructions.

He mentioned that the number of labor complaints received by the "Protection" electronic platform and resolved was 572 complaints, indicating that the inspection teams in the directorate issued 249 violations and directed 870 warnings to establishments that did not comply with labor law provisions and the regulations issued under it.

He pointed out that the directorate endorsed 652 experience certificates last year, and it also endorsed 471 employment contracts.

He confirmed that the work team in the directorate implements effective strategies aimed at linking job seekers with employment opportunities that match their skills and qualifications, in addition to the directorate's efforts to achieve partnerships with the private sector to enhance employment opportunities and open new business fields.

He added that the responsibility of the Zarqa Labor Directorate revolves around implementing the policies of the Ministry of Labor by organizing the labor market and providing employment opportunities for job seekers in coordination with the private sector, such as organizing job days.

He reported that the directorate undertakes the tasks of inspections, labor relations, and monitoring laws and regulations related to employment, alongside providing information and statistics about the labor market data in the governorate, in support of the national employment goals.

Matar mentioned that the directorate deported 663 non-Jordanian workers of various nationalities for violating Article (12) of Labor Law, and the inspection teams detected 18 cases of child labor during the past year.
