Khaberni - The official spokesperson of the coalition forces "Coalition for the Support of Legitimacy in Yemen," Major General Turki Al-Maliki announced that, following up on yesterday’s statement by the coalition forces command which included information about the circumstances of the escape of the head of the Southern Transitional Council Aidarous Al-Zubaidi to an unknown location, intelligence information became available that he escaped at night with others across the sea from Aden Port heading towards (Somaliland region) in the Federal Republic of Somalia.
The spokesperson added that the escapees deactivated their identification system and reached the port (Berbera) yesterday afternoon. Aidarous contacted an officer known as (AbuSaid), who turned out to be (Major General Awad Said al-Ahbabi), Commander of the Joint Emirati Operations, and informed him of their arrival. An airplane was waiting for them, which took off without specifying a departure destination after boarding them under the supervision of Emirati officers.
The spokesperson stated that the airplane landed at (Mogadishu) airport yesterday afternoon, waited for an hour, then departed towards the Arabian Gulf, passing over the Arabian Sea without specifying the arrival destination, and the identification system was shut off over the Gulf of Oman, and reactivated ten minutes before landing at (Al Reef) military airport in Abu Dhabi last evening.
