Khaberni - The Ministry of Education in the UAE announced the resumption of in-person education for all children and students, educational and administrative staff in nurseries, kindergartens, public and private schools starting Monday, April 20, 2026
The Dubai Knowledge and Human Development Authority announced the gradual return of private early childhood centers in Dubai to in-person education, starting Thursday, April 16, 2026.
The Authority stated that this return to in-person education begins with centers located in government headquarters and commercial buildings, conditional on prior approval, and in accordance with comprehensive safety controls and procedures.
This direction comes at a time when relevant authorities are intensifying their preparations in the education sector after weeks of relying on remote education.
Programs are also being launched to equip educational facilities and train staff in nurseries, schools, and universities, in line with the decisions issued by the relevant authorities.
Field inspections are also being conducted by ministries and local educational authorities to assess the readiness of institutions before the return of students.
At the same time, the competent authorities are preparing guidelines for schools and universities that allow switching between in-person and remote education when needed, with the aim of ensuring the continuity of the educational process and enabling the education system to quickly adapt to any changes.
